Rahimam Dhaga Prem kaa Naa Todo Chakai , jodan se bhi naa jude … Joh Jude Gaanth Pad Jaaye  by ” Rahim Khan-e-Khana “

Khanzada Mirza Khan Abdul Rahim ” Khan-e-Khana ” (17 December 1556 – 1626) ,also known as Rahim … was a poet who lived during the rule of Mughal emperor Akbar. He was one of the nine important ministers (dewan) in his court, also known as the Navaratnas.

Today we went for a Heritage Walk in Nizamuddin Area with DHPC & Youth For Heritage Group …

Got to know few facts those were actually unknown to almost all of us .

Writing one such fact here …

Fahim Khan who was the bestie of Rahim is having his Tomb behind Humayun’s tomb & is known as another Neela Gumbad .

As per the facts, Rahim was buried in this tomb whereas Fahim Khan was buried in Khan-i-Khana tomb , reason may be .. That Rahim should not be disturbed after his final call .

Gurudwara DamaDamaa Saahib is next to Humayun’s tomb only … And this was the place where Guru Gobind Singh Ji came & met son of Aurangzeb and decided to end the Sikh-Muslim war … Because of this Dum Kham it was named as DumDamaa Saahib Gurudwara .

Got one bful pic from Humayun’s tomb complex , although didnt get time to visit the tomb from inside but we explored outer periphery with almost every monument & footprint left .
